After inheriting her uncle’s homesteading claim in Montana, sixteen-year-old orphan Hattie Brooks travels from Iowa in 1917 to make a home for herself.
this is a great book about a sixteen year old girl that has to survive on her oun with only the help of her neighbors. it is really good but it is sad at the end.
